Police have rang a few of our bloggers and warned that the Met are extremely jumpy and will not tolerate any demonstrations by left wing or right wing groups, or anyone else for that matter while the waste of time and money that is the Olympics is on. We’ve agreed we wont do any demos or counters during this time as we dont wish to send our people somewhere when police are more or less saying they will arrest you on sight. They have even arrested a load of graffiti merchants in London prior to the Olympics and stopped Choudrey’s mob demoing last night. (well done) Hopefully they’ll use the opportunity to crack down on Londons black knife gangs as well, but dont hold your breath on that one.
We wont be doing any demos during this time and any other groups considering it, be aware police will react badly to you.
