Great Yarmouth Vikings do a big success

Another Great Night For The Vikings..

The Avenues in Yarmouth Hosted a Send off party for two local lads,one from Lowestoft the other from Yarmouth both proud members of the 1st Baltallion Royal Anglians or better known as the Vikings.

They are heading off to the Afghan Badlands At the end of march,for their first active 6 month tour,So it true Avenues style the locals turned out in force to send these two brave lads off.

The night started off with the Marine corp band outside letting the neighbours they were there,they played for 20mins then we went inside to have both lads blessed by the local reverend.

Then was the highlight of the Night We then presented the lads with a 40″ flatscreen tv And Dvd player to take to the Badlands with them,Shipping the stuff has already be arranged in advance so the lads will have some entertainment out there so they can chill out.

Next was raffle time,Once again there was loads of Prizes ranging from ties to drink which then raised another £255 for the Vikings Family Support Group,so all in all yet another successful night for our local Heroes..

We wish both lads and the rest of our armed forces a safe tour and see you when you come back for the Home coming Party..

Also can we say a big thank you to all that turned up tonight,And all the people who donated the raffles prizes Because without your support none of this would of been possible..
