Several Unions are named on this leaflet as supporting the UAF. UAF are an extreme left wing front group of Socialist Workers Party (SWP) a Marxist rabble who’s banners can be seen at nearly every protest that turns violent in this country. How disgusting is it that this group, who’s leader Martin Smith is openly defying police instructions regarding Saturdays demos as he wants to assemble at the clock tower as all hes interested in is confrontation? At Tower Hamlets Smith boasted that Unison and Unite had both donated £2000 each to the UAF. So the unions think so little of their members that they are funding an extremist group and using their members subs to finance public disorder.
UAF know that by holding a demo on the same day as EDL they are 1. doubling the police bill for the day 2. Doubling the inconvenience to local people and 3. Doubling the chances of trouble breaking out as they provide provocation and always plague the town for weeks before with scare stories in order to wind up the local Muslims.
Hopefully Martins defiance of the police will get him and his unwashed cronies arrested. We live in hope.

As a patriotic ‘solidarity british trade union’ member I have no time at all for these communist front unions that fund the uaf. My personal support goes to those thoughtful young men and ladies of the edl etc. who can see the bigger picture.
There should be enough people filming everything that a record of who through the first punch will be there for all to see. Unions have no right to give money to this sh1t by Law unions have no right without asking its members to give it the OK?.

If any of you are members of any union that has donated money to UAF etc, you can do
a) demand that you pay the non political rate of union subscription, this is a legal provision open to people who want to be a union member but not pay towards any political activity.
b) At conference of your union raise a motion that all donations should be publicaly announced then raise a point of order that it is unconstitutional to pay money to extra ordinary activist groups that don’t benefit trade unionism and of the workers in that union.
