EDL and counter protesters limited to crowds of 3,000

8:08pm Wednesday 30th March 2011

English Defence League demonstrators and anti-racism protesters will be limited to 3,000-strong crowds each on Saturday, under new restrictions imposed by police today.

In a bid to prevent public disorder, damage to property and further disruption in Blackburn town centre, Lancashire Constabulary has secured the measure under sections 12 and 14 of the Public Order Act.

The English Defence League will be demonstrating in Northgate from 12.45pm to 1.45pm.

A counter protest, organised by BADUAR, Blackburn and Darwen Unite Against Racism, and other groups, will take place between 1pm and 3pm in Sudell Cross.

Assistant Chief Constable Andy Cooke said: “Our top priority is the safety of the community, people visiting Blackburn, demonstrators and counter-demonstrators and I believe that these restrictions are necessary to minimise the risk of disorder or damage.”

“Everyone has the right to peacefully protest and we have a duty to allow that to happen.

“We will not tolerate any law breaking, and where crimes are committed we will take robust action.”

Luton update from Tommy

A Luton Update from Tommy Robinson

Published on 31-03-2011 12:30  Number of Views: 7

Since we held our extremely success full demonstration in Luton the town is alive with positive talk among the local people about the EDL. People were expecting a bloodbath, a bunch of rowdy thugs out to fight and riot with the Islamic community. Well that was the hype anyway – or should I say “Hope” for some? Of course, that’s not what we delivered.

The level of opposition that we encounter from every angle is astounding when you think about it. The aggressors and idiots who try to provoke and attack us come from the Islamic community, from the deluded and often riotous militant-Left brigade… and let’s not forget the real “far right” – those white supremacist dinosaurs. And of course there are many other bands of various misfits.

The point is we have survived many attacks, and we have become bigger, better and more organised than people give us credit for. Our opponents know this, so their actions become more and more extreme. This is exactly what we have seen in Luton since the demo.

Some people just can’t accept any positive media about the EDL, they can’t accept anything less than a sensationalist or even manufactured headline that paints us in the very worst light imaginable. That is how scared these people are about our message. They are so scared that we are gaining ground that they will do anything they can to turn the screw on us. They know that with growing mainstream support, not just with the working class but with middle England too, we are becoming their worst nightmare. To counter our success it takes something drastic. Desperate times mean desperate measures.

One example that comes to mind is when Socialist Worker reported that Bolton Mosque had been attacked on the eve of our demonstration in the city. They made it really clear that we were almost definitely to blame. But, of course, the incident had nothing to do with the EDL – and the police were all too happy to make this clear to the local community.

But this sort of thing is happening daily – our opponents reporting their own prejudiced assumptions as if they were unbiased news stories.

Why do some people still believe that the EDL racist? Because that’s what they really want to believe! They want us to be the bad guys, and for everyone else to believe that too, because perhaps then people won’t realise how clueless groups like Socialist Worker and the UAF really are.

They accuse us of dividing communities. How? By telling the truth? We encourage an open debate, we educate our members. They keep talking about giving ‘no platform’ and ‘smashing’ the EDL. They accuse us of things without any evidence, and they continue to tell people that we’re racists despite all the evidence to the contrary.

Which group is really dividing communities?

Anyway, here’s the latest example from Luton showing the desperate measures our opponents are willing to take…

Very recently people’s houses and property have been subjected to attack, their property vandalised, and then the letters ‘E D L’ daubed on a door, a window, a wall. The obvious intention is not only to intimidate, but to make the public associate the EDL with criminal behaviour, vandalism and destruction of property. Who would want to align with an organisation like that? Joe Public won’t get on board when we are seen as the aggressors, and it’s very much in our opponents’ interests to make sure that happens – whatever the cost.

In the first week after the demo in Luton there were 8 attacks that I know of. 4 attacks happened in the same road. It all started with yellow spray paint graffiti. Then the council offices were attacked and blame was aimed at the EDL. Now things have advanced somewhat. We’re seeing cars being burned out – 7 have been set on fire in the last week alone – each a random victim on different estates.

I was told that there had been an attack on a house that I used to live in so, of course, I had to find out what happened. What you see in the above picture is the house next door. The car had been set on fire and vandalised. Notice the EDL painted on the door to make this look either like a warning or a claim.

Luckily the car was not a petrol motor or it could have exploded and ripped through the house, possibly killing or injuring the family inside. Still, the flames did reach the house, and could have set light to the wooden facias. This is a family with kids for God’s sake! This bloke and his family have had absolutely nothing to do with the EDL, but now he’s a victim because of it? What kind of a message is that?

I did speak with the bloke whose house it is and he was really upset, and rightly so. I had to think what I’d be like if that happened to me, I felt really bad for him, and partly responsible. But then I thought, well why should I feel responsible? I didn’t do this, the EDL didn’t do this, someone else did, and that’s a fact.

Obviously it was not anything to do with the EDL, perhaps it was meant to intimidate me? I don’t know and I can’t be certain but what I can be certain of is that members of the black community also had their properties vandalised and the letters EDL daubed on the scene. Then recently as just a couple of days ago in fact, a couple of local Muslims come up to me and asked why had their cars been burned out and torched outside their house? I said I didn’t know, again I know it wasn’t anything to do with the EDL. Something just wasn’t right so I went to Bedfordshire Police and said something had to be done because it looks as though someone is doing this to cause a war.

The dirty war is one where hands don’t need to be dirtied at all. Some people will use opposing sides to clash, to cause some kind of violent anarchistic revolution, because that’s obviously what these people want. What I’d say to Bedfordshire Police is to keep looking to the militant left rather than the so-called “far right”.

I’m glad to say that Bedfordshire Police have now arrested someone in connection to these attacks. They have confirmed that the person arrested has no connections to the EDL at all. However, we want to know who this person is, who this person was working for, and what his religious and political associations are.

So far there have been around 25 attacks that I can say I know of. It’s a small miracle our communities have not reacted to these attacks as yet. Let’s hope whoever is responsible for this is swiftly brought to justice.

This is a very dirty war make no bones about it. Please be vigilant, stay strong and never ever surrender!

Thugs sent to Blackpool at taxpayers expense (you couldnt make this shit up)

Youths in punch-up on council coach trip to Blackpool

Youths in punch-up on council coach trip to Blackpool

A group of Asian and Muslim teenagers started a fight in Blackpool after being taken on a taxpayer-funded trip to the seaside resort to stop them causing trouble at an English Defence League march in the Black Country.

The five youths were driven to the Lancashire town’s Pleasure Beach attraction by Sandwell Council amid fears they could become embroiled in the EDL event in Dudley.

But during their day-long excursion, they were involved in a fight which left father-of-two Derrick Brownhill unconscious and with bruising and swelling to his face and head, Wolverhampton Crown Court heard.

The trip cost the public purse more than £2,113 and saw the group, who were aged 17 and 19 and from the Tipton and Oldbury areas, accompanied by a police officer and officials from the council.

Prosecutor Mr David Swinnerton told the court that the teenagers were part of a large group of Asian and Muslim youths that were taken to Blackpool by coach on July 17 last year.

He said: “The five defendants were part of a group of 19 Asian and Muslim males specifically taken to Blackpool by a police officer and five other officials from Sandwell Borough Council for the purpose of distracting them from anti-social behaviour on the day of the EDL march in Dudley.”

At the time of the violence, two of the gang were on bail for a hammer attack in Tipton that took place three months before the Blackpool incident.

Three of the defendants were jailed for up to 21 months by Judge Amjad Nawaz yesterday, who told them: “There is nothing more disturbing than to have to sentence a dock full of young people just past their childhood years having engaged in offences of such severity that custodial sentences are inevitable.”

Sandwell Council said today the trip to Blackpool had been organised with the support of police to help reduce tensions and deter teenagers who may have been at risk of getting involved in demonstrations in Dudley on the day.

The council said the £2,113.42 cost of the trip was met by the Government’s Youth Justice Board.

It said although it had no plans to do anything similar in the future, it would have to consider removing young people from situations in an attempt to prevent them from getting into trouble.

Councillor Derek Rowley, Sandwell Council’s cabinet member for safer neighbourhoods, said: “Clearly, this was a very unfortunate incident which we totally condemn.

“We have a duty to foster good community relations and we will continue to work with local people and all our partner organisations towards that aim.”
In total, 19 youngsters went on the trip. Eight were aged 16 or above and 11 were under 16.

In addition, there were five youth workers and one police officer, who went on a voluntary basis.

Derrick Campbell, a Government advisor on combating anti-social behaviour as well as Race Equality Sandwell chief executive, said today he knew about the trip and had supported it.

He said the men were sent to Blackpool because it was thought they could be aggressors as well as targets. During the EDL march in Dudley, a 16-year-old girl suffered a broken leg, six protestors were hit by a car and 21 people were arrested.

Blackburn EDL Demo road closures

29 03 2011

Blackburn road closures for EDL protest announced

10:20am Tuesday 29th March 2011

A STRING of road closures around Blackburn town centre have been announced ahead of Saturday’s EDL protest.

Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council has released details of which routes will be out of bounds from 1am until 9pm on Saturday.

Police are expecting around 2,500 English Defence League members to attend the national demonstration outside King George’s Hall, Northgate, from 12.45pm to 1.45pm.

A similar number of counter-protestors, who say they will celebrate Blackburn’s diversity, will gather at Sudell Cross between 1pm and 3pm.

The road closures are:

• Preston New Road from junction with Barbara Castle Way
• Fielden Street from junction with Princes Street
• Barton Street from junction with Fielden Street
• Cardwell Place from junction with Barton Street
• King Street from junction with Freckleton Street
• King Street from junction with Barton Street
• St Peter Street from junction with Freckleton Street
• Mincing Lane from junction with Mill Lane
• Mincing Lane from junction with Weir Street
• Darwen Street from junction with Jubilee Street
• Mill Lane from junction with Darwen Street
• St Paul’s Street from junction with Montague Street
• Alma Street from junction with Barbara Castle Way

Pedestrian and local access is still permitted and diversion signs will be in place.

Loraine Jones, general manager at The Mall Blackburn, said trade would be affected but said the shopping centre would be open from 9am until 5.30pm as normal.

She said: “The Mall management and security teams are working closely with the police to ensure customers can shop in comfort and safety on Saturday.”

Paul Hoyle, president of the Blackburn Chamber of Trade, said the road closures meant some businesses along Northgate and Darwen Street have chose to close.

He said: “A lot of people are still considering whether to shut up shop for the day.

“From our members’ perspective it is coming at a difficult time.”

Meanwhile, local councillors, the Lancashire Council of Mosques, the Bishop of Blackburn, Blackburn College Students Union and trade union activists have called for people to join the counter-protest.

They say they want to show Blackburn as a ‘proud, diverse and vibrant town whose inhabitants value mutual respect and decency’.

The Lancashire Council of Mosques said: “We particularly call on the mosques to encourage their congregations to actively come out and support this event.”

A number of community centres are running diversionary events on Saturday afternoon, including football matches for 16-24 year olds and a big screen showing the cricket World Cup final.

POLICE JOBS FOR MINORITIES ONLY

ABOVE: The posts are advertised as internships “that could change your life”
“
We won’t ever end discrimination by introducing it via the back door.
”

Conservative MP Dominic Raab

29th March 2011

By Steve Hughes

WHITE people have been banned from applying for some jobs in the Metropolitan Police and the civil service.

The posts are advertised as internships “that could change your life” – but are only available for people from ethnic or minority backgrounds.

The Met’s 12-week Diversity Internship pays six lucky applicants £3,000 to work in a range of departments.

They are not guaranteed jobs at the end of it, but those who get the temporary posts are considered to have a foot in the door if they want to join the police.

But the application form says that only students from specific ethnic groups, including black African, black Asian or Chinese, will be considered.

The Civil Service also has only one central internship programme, and that is specifically for students from ethnic minorities.

Only white candidates whose families are from “under-represented socio-economic backgrounds” are eligible.

MPs and critics slammed the schemes as “damaging”, saying they do far more to create discrimination than stamping it out.

They say they are particularly angry because of the enormous number of graduates from all ethnic backgrounds in Britain who are currently out of work.

Conservative MP Dominic Raab said: “We won’t ever end discrimination by introducing it via the back door.

“That is precisely what positive discrimination like this does.”

Fellow Tory Nadhim Zahawi, added: “These schemes are degrading. Margaret Thatcher didn’t need positive discrimination to become prime minister.”

The Met insists there are other opportunities for white applicants.

A spokesman said: “In the past year we have run 34 work experience placements and more than 150 apprenticeship opportunities.

“Most of these posts are open to people who come from all types of background.

EDL Blackpool Demo Report: Justice for Charlene Downes

Whilst violence flared in London yesterday, the unjustly vilified EDL were holding a protest on Blackpool seafront to demand that the CPS re-open the investigation into the disappearance and presumed murder of Charlene Downes. On this occasion, no UAF or MDL were present to unleash violence, and thus it turned out to be a completely peaceful demonstration. As can be seen from the video below, the EDL are continuing to provide support to the Downes family, something which neither the justice system nor press appear to be willing to offer, and this support is not going to waver and evaporate. As the EDL organiser said of the case:

“We want it highlighted. We don’t want it brushed under the carpet just like any other case. We want the powers that be to know, the English Defence League is not going to forget this. We will keep coming back. . . . We will keep coming back, until at least this case is looked at again by the Crown Prosecution Service, and these scum are not going to get away with this one.”

“We want them to know that the casuals and the English Defence League; we know about them! We’re watching you! And in Charlene’s name, we won’t let you get away with it. . . We will never let you get away with it.”

Why was there media silence over this demo yesterday? It numbered hundreds of people, men and women who gathered together to highlight a just cause that needs to be addressed and resolved. If the victim had been a Muslim or a member of any minority group, you can guarantee that this crime would never be out of the headlines until justice had been done. But Charlene and her family belong to the most demonised section of the population – the English working class – so our politically correct multiculturalist media don’t want to know. They don’t want to acknowledge that the alleged perpetrators of the crime (captured on tape admitting raping and murdering Charlene then cutting her up to sell as kebab meat) belong to that officially protected and idolised section of the population – Muslims.

The UK has a significant problem with Muslim paedophiles who prey upon English girls and contemptuously abuse them. This grows directly from the example of their violent paedophile Prophet Mohammed. Increasing numbers of people are waking up to the fact that this is the reality that lies at the centre of Islamic tradition and doctrine, and no amount of state-sanctioned politically correct media brainwashing can cover this up. Anyone who has direct experience of living near to the Muslim colonies in our country today knows the official media and government line about Islam being just like any other religion to be a lie.

The Downes family are grateful to the EDL, and yesterday Charlene’s mother expressed this gratitude by saying:

“God bless you. You are our angels . . .You’re doing a great job. A job the police and the CPS are incapable of doing . . .We will fight, and fight on for justice.”

Next Saturday the EDL go to Blackburn, and the Downes family will be with them. This protest will continue, just as the EDL will continue to protest until justice is restored in this country, so that we are free from the malign influence of doctrinaire Islam. One day, we will once again be able to go about our daily lives, secure in the knowledge that this dark episode in our national story will have passed, and that Islam will never threaten our shores and our people again. As the organiser of yesterday’s demo said at the close of the protest: “No surrender and never forget!”
